Isn't it fun to receive a gift from someone who picks out something so special they JUST KNOW you will love it?! I recently received a gorgeous homemade yoga bag from someone very special to me who knew about my new passion for hot power yoga. As an aside, Ladies, if you have 5 stubborn pounds to lose from the baby…RUN…don't walk to the nearest power yoga studio and you will be back looking fabulous in weeks! Anyway, I have found a company, The Gifted Grasshopper, whose mission is to find the most perfect, special books for your child…they JUST KNOW your child will love them.

Creators of The Gifted Grasshopper, Jen and Laura, were both first grade teachers who later became moms. One of their favorite classroom activities was finding wonderful books for their students. Once they became moms, they were blessed to share the gift of reading with their own children. And ultimately realized they had the experience and talent to chose fabulous, age-appropriate books for all of us!  Thus, the birth of The Gifted Grasshopper!

When you visit The Gifted Grasshopper, you will see the adorable "Gift Sets" available for children of all ages, from baby/toddlers to 2nd and 3rd Graders. My Gift Set was for Preschoolers, and was just perfect for my 2-year old son. First of all, it was exquisitely wrapped in clear foil with earth-tone raffia bows. Inside contained two soft-cover books, their signature reading "buddy" Griffen the Grasshopper, a fun pair of their signature Grasshopper Glasses, and an embroidered canvas tote. The highlight for me was the canvas tote, as I can always find a use for any fun bag…but my son was beside himself with glee about the two books! We literally read both books 50 times the day we opened the Gift Set. Boy were Jen and Laura right…their choices were right on for a 2-year old!  In both books, the stories were simple, playful, and fun and the illustrations were AMAZING! 

The other Gift Sets at The Gifted Grasshopper are equally as fabulous. In fact, you can select larger Gift Sets with more books, AND you may customize your book choices based on your child's individual interests.
