"We did it, We did it, We did it, Yay!" Another children's show tune, stuck in my head. As I walk into the conference room on Monday morning, I wonder how many other parents are plagued with the jingles that accompany their children's lives. 

Music is such a large part of my daughter's daily routine, that not a moment goes by that she is not in a position to sing, dance, or relax to a melody in some form or another.  Be it her programs, the CD's we listen to when we are taking a drive, or the white noise we give her in her room as she is quietly (hopefully) drifting off to sleep.

There is a gap though, between the music she listens to and what I listen to when she is not with me. Baby rock records is the bridge that spans that gap.  I was truly delighted to find the "Rockabye Baby!" series of CD's. Instrumental renditions of many of Daddy's and Mommy's favorite artists are offered.  Their CD's consist of roughly ten tracks of soothing lullaby style music, using the glockenspiel, vibraphone, mellotron as well as other instruments. Individual CD's focus on an artist or band, and consist of their more melodious and popular pieces.

My daughter made me proud when she picked the Pink Floyd CD to listen to as she was falling asleep last night.  She has good musical taste already! This was not to say that her choice was easy though.  Bands such as Green Day, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and many more are offered. 

The artwork on the liner notes for the CD's is ingenious as well. Using the styles of the respective artist's albums, artworks and themes, Rockabye Baby incorporates childhood images such as teddybears, balloons, and animals while staying in the band's motif.  Also each CD insert can be cut out to make a mobile using that very same artwork.

My daughter being two now, makes me I wish I had gotten Rockabye Baby CD's earlier on, so I could have shared with her sooner, what I consider to be some of the best music of all time. 

These CD's are fantastic, and I recommend them to anyone who has a liking of any of the bands offered. You can see a list of all of their CD's at their website.

If you think you may like some easy listening, while still offering homage to some of your classics and favorites, you may want to plan on having an extra copy for yourself. I am!
