I am going to whisper a very special name: Maria Sangiolo and I want you to remember it because when you hear her voice you will be in awe of her songs, her music, her spirit and her message. It is the nicest way to be in awe because you will sing along, smile along and simply feel good.

As we support our green planet we enthustically support Maria and her newest CD, Under the Mystic Sea, a wonderful compilation of songs and instrumentals. Who cannot forget the wonder of jumping waves, building drippy castles and exploring tide pools at the beach? Just as the ebb and flow of the waves mesmerizes our eyes, the tone and lyrics of her music arouses the fun and spirit of our souls.

I always wanted to be a mermaid; I knew there were limitations, but the fascination I have always had with mermaids is probably beyond normal human comprehension. Mermaid Molly is a wonderful tune which fancifully brings out the mermaid in all of us. Did I always want to rock with a penguin? Honestly, I never thought of it until I learned Maria's Rock Penguin Hop, but now I do it every day!

Although many of the songs are of the sea, there is, in addition, a wonderful ecological theme to this CD; I guarantee you will never shower again without humming a verse or two from Power Shower as "I wash, wash, wash…and take a power shower to help the water last". If you have curly headed daughters, as I do, you will love the song, Hairbrush Blues which, in the most darling way describes the morning ritual of hair grooming!
