Before I learned to read looking at books with pictures was my passion.  Being the youngest of four there were often intriguing adult books on the bookshelves of my home. One of my favorite "adult books" with pictures was Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, which had wonderful illustrations of the Englishman, Gulliver, who wakes up from a shipwreck, washed ashore and surrounded by the inhabitants of Lilliput, a race of 6" tall people.

So you imagine how exited I was to discover Heather Flottmann's wonderful liliputians line of children's fashions. I literally spend hours admiring each of the unique boutique creations. This website is incredible, the pictures are fabulous, the fashions are bright and fun and simply joyous. Heather's  "liliputians label was born in NYC on May 12, 2004 with the arrival of her beautiful baby girl named Lily Belle."

As I was shopping for a very special gift for a darling girl's second birthday I was delighted to find liliputians "whimsical, quirky and fun Birthday Cakes and Stripes in Pink and Brown" shirt and pants. When it arrived I couldn't have been more pleased with the design, the quality of the materials, the suberb craftmanship, the stylish top stitching applique, and the perfect fit!  It surely lives up to "you can have your cake and eat it too". The fanciful #2 is adorned with 2 delicious petit four cakes and the cuff of the pants is trimmed with the cake print band. Of course, I easily found the perfect little complimenting barrettes to go with the outfit.
