Did you know that towards the end of his life, Monet was nearly blind from cataracts but continued to paint from memory? I am awed by art - whether it is a Monet masterpiece, the art of nature or a child's scribble in a coloring book; there is truly a sense of beauty in everything that surrounds us. Like a wide-eyed kid on Christmas morning, my appreciation for art stems from a sense of delight and wonder. A true tour de force and an amazing artist; today I discovered Kelly B. Rightsell.

It was when Kelly was selling original watercolors to interior designers that she discovered there was a vast market for juvenile décor for nurseries and children's rooms. With lithograph prints made from six original designs in hand, Kelly headed to the Atlanta Gift Market. Her whimsically illustrations were so well received that it led to licensing designs for rugs, ceramics, wallpaper, fabric and bedding. Thus began Kelly B. Rightsell Designs, Inc. 

You may not know the name or even her face but I guarantee that you know her adorable whimsical playmates, the Fashion Frogs. Jumping off the canvas, Hattie and Henry have now come to life as soft plush animals. Not only are Kelly Rightsell's Petite Playmates wonderful friends ready to be hugged and squeezed by your little one, but they are also charming accompaniments to your tot's bedroom. Hattie and Henry (and 14 of their closest friends) are certain to find a special place in your child's heart.

From plush animals, to wall art, rugs, wallpaper and more - Kelly B. Rightsell Designs is a mini museum all to itself. While each piece is truly unique, there is a charismatic relationship between the colors and designs of all Kelly's artwork. It is easy to see why parents find Kelly's products so easy to mix and match - cohesiveness is such a wonderful thing.
