Before the days of pay on demand, net flicks and DVDs were video cassettes. Before the days of videos there were no TV clickers and before that were three main television networks that broadcasted live in black and white. On certain nights, folks watched certain shows. On Saturday nights, television viewers across American tuned to The Lawrence Welk Show. On Christmas Eve 1955 the Lennon Sisters quartet made their debut and became "America's Sweethearts". Kathy and Janet with their younger sister Mimi Lennon continue to perform to sold out audiences all across the nation.

Growing up as the third and fourth children in a family of twelve siblings, Kathy and Janet were inseparable. "Caring for one another, sharing everything - they were best pals in every sense." When they were 6 and 3 years old their mother and grandmother made a pair of soft cloth rag dolls that looked just like the devoted sisters - a brunette doll for Kathy and a blonde doll for Janet. They kept them in perfect condition.

"Now Kathy and Janet Lennon have painstakingly replicated the original dolls hand sewn by Mom and Nana. As a result of their continuing love for their fans and children everywhere they are proud to present Best Pals." The dolls are charming with their little embroidered faces, yarn braids, vintage cotton print dresses covering pantaloons, shoes and long knit stockings. They are made to be played with. Their hair can be unbraided and pony tailed, the clothes all come off for bed time and nightgowns. Each doll wears a darling elastic beaded Best Pals bracelet. 

The Best Pals line also features two music CD's, "Best Pals" with 14 favorite songs including two original 1956 vocals and "Best Pals Celebrate Christmas" CD which includes 13 much loved songs. I am mesmerized with this soothing Lennon sound. It is vintage three-part harmony highlighted with special performances from Janet's grandchildren as guest vocalists.
