My mother always told me my hair was my "crowning glory". Sometimes I thought I knew what she meant but most of the time all I wanted to do was put on a cap and go outside and play. You see, I started as a very bald baby!  I wore a lot of bonnets for a long time (the proof is in the pictures). As I have matured I begin to understand more and more what she meant. Did she mean my CURLS were my crowning glory, or was she just happy I finally got hair?

Having had three baby girls of my own I wanted them to look girly and a bald head is a bit Winston Churchillish looking!  Yes, I have resorted to a bit of scotch tape on the head with a pathetically tied ribbon - often the ends fray and the tape is neither effective nor attractive. Well, I have now found the answer to many prayers…beautiful little bows, nicely cut and trimmed (no fraying), color coordinated, professionally made and beautifully packaged in a darling little container, all ready for placing on an infant's head.

In 2001 Jennifer Farquharson began developing her exclusive InfantBows product. As the mother of four children and the daughter of a retired newborn nursery nurse her experiences "generated a safe way to adorn little baby girls with bows". These bows are petite and fray proof and are proudly made in America. Each bow can be used over and over again and still look fresh. Jennifer proudly tells us how her bows "have a unique backing that makes them different from any other bow on the market. The backing is formulated to hold InfantBow glue and protects the bow from damage as well as increases the holding power. 100% satisfaction is guaranteed."

The choice of materials and colors is wonderful, from the delightful princess collection with many shades of pink, to the precious pastel organza bows or the bright colored holiday satins and the perky grosgrain bows. Sorry, Winston Churchill - but my baby girls now look like girls!
