I am an eco girl wanna be! I just look for ways to repurpose; cereal boxes become postcards, magazine pages are used to recover used bubble wrap mailers, soda pop tops become fridge magnets, old t-shirts are turned into shopping bags... oh the list is a long one. But what I am really after is to be "a true green girl" except I am not sure is there is a clear definition for "being green". I admit that I don't hug trees {well not in the cold winter months anyhow}, I sometimes take too long of a shower and I would prefer to drive than walk {but I do have my eye on the 45 mpg Honda Civic Hybrid}. So I guess in shades of green-ness I would be considered teal.
I am amazed at how the littlest actions I take can make such a difference to reduce my carbon footprint. For example, did you know that 100 million trees and 28 billion gallons of water are wasted each year in the production of junk mail { just in the US alone}? If there were a way you could (1) eliminate unwanted junk mail and (2) help the Mother Earth to remain beautiful, wouldn't you jump on board? I thought you would… so please join the eco conscience folks at GreenDimes.
