Kids say the cutest things! We agree to that. We also would agree Kids Say the Darndest Things. Why is that in initial caps? Let me tell you a little story.
Back in the dark ages of television a wonderful gentleman hosted a very popular show; five days a week American audiences tuned in to Art Linkletter's House Party. This show ran for more than 20 years. A favorite part of each show was the segment when Linkletter interviewed young schoolchildren. I remember calling my mother and father into the living room to see those segments. The repartee was precious. In the late 1990s Bill Cosby and Art Linkletter co-hosted a new show as a take off of the house party show's favorite segment. They named it Kids Say the Darndest Things. Featuring interviews with the hosts and children, America again loved these endearing dialogues. Not to be outdone BBC produced their version of the show and named it Kids Say the Funniest Things.
Now let us fast forward to a wonderful company that carries "its own line of funny onesies, toddler tees and tees for moms and dads to help you find the funny in family". The owner, Mary Carter Fiveash continues "If you're looking for a great gift…and you want to make someone smile, you've come to the right place". Mary's belief that life is best handled with a little humor resulted in an opportunity for all of us to chose a special gift, which is not only practical but lots of fun.
I just love the stick figure characters and the witty sayings. One great tee for Dad whimsically states, "As soon as I had kids of my own I forgave my parents for everything". I could not resist the illustration on the adorable infant romper saying "I pull all-nighters" and I adore the energetic toddler racing along saying "Baby, I was born to run".
Check out Gifts of Wit and have fun while shopping. I know each little character and saying will strike a special cord in your heart; please think of me as I wear my all time favorite "Naptime is My Happy Hour!".
