I have always admired the knitters of the world and the traditional hand crafted items they produce. Knitting has become more popular now than ever before and the patterns are as sweet and cute as they were when today's hip mommies were babies. Some of the cutest little shower and new born gifts are those adorable little hand made baby booties sets, made with so much love. The only problem is they keep falling off! 

Babies' feet are not designed to hold tight to booties or even to those adorable little baby socks which simply complete an outfit.  Well, Maren Williams came to the rescue. Please allow me to introduce her; here is Maren's story. "On the 13th September 2006 I became a mum to my gorgeous little girl Lucia. One of the things that truly drove me crazy was that Lucia would lose her socks every single time I put them on her feet. Often it only took seconds and it became a habit that visitors to our house brought in all the lost socks that they found in the driveway. "

You guess it! Maren Williams researched for a manufactured product that would keep Lucia's socks from falling off and ended up creating her own. She fashioned a prototype, perfected the design and tested  it on Lucia as well as many other babies. Once she was satisfied with her product her daughter has never lost another sock.

The cute name, Chichies, is a play on "Chichi" which is the name Maren called Lucia while Maren was pregnant. "Because I invented them for her we turned Chichi's into CHICHIES."

The elastic appears infinitely adjustable and is suitable for babies from birth to 8 months+. Choose luscious colors from baby pink to hot pink and burgundy, from lavender to lemon to traditional white, baby blue and royal blue. Although Chichies are designed to be concealed I think it is great fun to have such a wonderful array of colors under the fold of the socks.
