Messieurs, Dames, bonjour!
Today I am happy to introduce you to a product that will resonate with international moms like me.
When we learned of our pregnancy, my husband and I had no idea there would be so many decisions we would have to make- Do we want to know the gender? What will our baby's name be? What color will the nursery be? Will I eat that tuna sandwich I am not supposed to eat?...etc.-.
I have to say I sometimes felt overwhelmed by all those questions.
But, there was one point I knew I would never compromise with: impart my language and my culture to my baby.
So I want to thank Mary Powaga-Anderson, founder of a brand new online onesie boutique Bonjour Bambino. These onesies are not the usual onesies. Besides being stamped with the quality American Apparel label, being practical and comfortable (but, we moms, already all know why and how much onesies are a necessity when you have a baby), they are cute…and smart!
Smart because they speak different languages! That's right! Mary created Bonjour Bambino (Hello Baby) "to fulfill a desire to bring multiculturalism to mothers and babies everywhere." Thus, all the onesies she designs feature on the front an amusing little sentence in French, Spanish or Italian, accompanied with an adorable little logo.
Between the French "mon petit chou" onesie (My little cabbage), the Spanish "Tengo Hambre" onesie (I am hungry) or the Italian "Dolce Amore" onesie (Sweet love), I agree: it will be hard to pick your favorite one. However thanks to my and my little girl's thumb of rule, it will suddenly become a no-brainer, here it is: Lundi (Monday) is French, Martedì (Tuesday) is Italian, Miércoles (Wednesday) is Spanish, etc…See?
So let's all say "Merci, gracias!" to Bonjour Bambino for making our babies "the hippest, en vogue, globe-trotting tots…"!
À tous les petits chous du monde,
