One of my most difficult jobs in caring for a newborn infant is trimming those ten tiny fingernails! They have to be the fastest growing part of a baby needing attention every two or three days. But how does one safely and easily trim infinitesimally small nails?
The books say the best time to trim nails is when baby is in a "deep sleep", when "arms and legs hang limply" and "hands are wide open". May I ask, how often does that happen? When (and if) that happens how does one see the nails? Who will hold the flashlight? Where does one find the properly sized tool? Will Mama and Papa ever get to sleep at the same time?
We at What's Hot for Tots have found the perfect solution, thanks to inventor Laurie Gadbois. Developed when her son, Thor was born "with my little guy being a wiggler and it being hard to see just where to clip", Laurie came up with the idea and enlisted her father's assistance in the conceptualization of this wonderful product. The result is a lighted nail clipper designed with special safety guards, which help protect baby's tiny fingertips from the cutting blades.
It fits comfortably in the hand - nicely sized for efficiency. A great feature is the built in tray, which holds the little clippings and keeps them from scattering. I just love the attractive case because I know I can find it easily and take care of any necessary trimming - pronto!
Kudos to Laurie who affirms "We are proud to be a part of providing safety and comfort to parents with our new and unique lighted nail clipper that illuminates from under baby's tiny nail, taking the guesswork out of where to safely clip". I am personally thrilled to have found Baby Light and Clip®and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for making nail trimming stress free, painless, easy and straightforward.
