Baby number one... had all the time in the world, napped when he napped, sang to him, took eight million pictures in a day, and documented every move he made.

Baby number two…had to make sure baby number one didn’t get jealous so time was divided in half, took four million pictures per day but baby number one was in them too so not sure if that counts? Documented first words and steps. (I think)

Baby number three…she is two, have a few pictures and maybe wrote about her birth. First words and steps happened, just not sure when.

Fourth baby…have documented every little thing and he is only five weeks! Some genius gave me Baby Footnotes journal as a gift and it is the handiest little thing. It is a spiral bound journal sized notebook that fits nicely on my nightstand and it allows me to jot down all of my child’s milestones in a few seconds. I am able to take notes about him, family emergency numbers and instructions for sitters. I use Baby Footnotes to keep track of feedings, diaper changes, and when the time comes potty training, daily scheduled activities, and it allows room for the child to draw. It has plenty of paper so it isn’t stressful to use this book for endless notes about poops, spit-ups, and nursing times.

I used to think that I had to be that perfect mom and make my children’s memories scrapbookish looking. With Baby Footnotes it has allowed me to document what is important for me about his childhood (like at 3 in the morning how long he ate for) and his milestones all in one book which makes it more realistic for me to keep up with. It is as cute or cuter than a scrapbook and I don’t feel the overwhelming guilt about not being perfect and documenting every little peep because this time around I have.

Baby Footnotes is truly a gift for any new mom, or an old one trying to play catch up!
